About Firefly EES

A word from founder Scott Gromko on his dedication to energy preservation.

The roots of Firefly Energy Efficiency Services trace back 25 years through an education and career in environmental science.

In my time at Stone & Webster and General Dynamics, I oversaw the cleanup of hazardous waste sites across the country, including collaborating with the U.S. Navy in restoring the San Francisco Bay. I have always focused on leaving the world better than I found it.

With the birth of my children, I was inspired to shift from cleanup to more impactful forms of waste prevention. I founded Firefly EES after years of fruitful study and practice in the energy efficiency industry, so that I may offer future-proof, environmentally responsible strategies to businesses large and small.

As a husband, father, hockey coach, and active community member, I believe we owe it to our next generations to reduce our carbon footprint for cleaner air and a healthier planet. I hope you will join us at Firefly EES in the lifelong pursuit of this goal.
